Whitten Center Parents' Club

The Whitten Center Parents' Club  is a supportive and active group of parents, relatives and volunteers.  Many of our members are involved in day-to-day activities on Campus.  We feel that family involvement is very important at Whitten Center.  Active participation in planning services for individuals by parents and other family members is encouraged and meetings can be arranged at the convenience of family members. The Whitten Center Parents' Club is active year round and provides important services such as monitoring programs, providing feedback to staff, advocating for quality services and raising funds for special activities and equipment.

Activities include Christmas parade and parties, Easter parties, July 4th parade and fireworks, Spring Prom, Autumn Festival, Special Olympics Activities and many off-campus trips.  Monies from the annual Glenn Bledsoe Golf Tournament, 5k/10k Run, memorials and donations continue to help with the purchase of items such as hands-on stimulation devices, adaptive equipment, games, toys and many items for the residents' living areas.

The residents enjoy riding on the golf cart thanks to
your contirbutions!
